Central Park's Bethesda Fountain is one of the most picturesque landmarks in Central Park. It's been in countless movies. I've seen it many times in my walks around the park, but I never really took the time to observe the terrace overlooking the fountain. It wasn't until I sought refuge from the snow here that I noticed how beautiful the interior was. It used to be the site of an outdoor restaurant in the late 60s, then the 70s saw it overrun by drug-trafficking.
After restorations of the terrace, fountain, and surrounding area, it's no wonder why this is one of the must-see sites at Central Park.
