Large and small Magellanic Clouds together with Canopus were captured during sunrise in Mount Bromo. This is also one of the best months to see 4 galaxies (LMC, SMC, Andromeda Galaxy and Milkyway Galaxy) within one night in Bromo. Canopus is the brightest star in the southern hemisphere and it is located between the Milkyway Galaxy (densest stars on the left) and LMC in this image.

Besides the galaxies, September is also the month where we can see the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn within one day and if not for the sun, Mercury will be visible too.

So i'm heading back again in end Sept with a group of photographers to capture this amazing phenomenon!

My next astrophotography tour will be in May 2014! Email to enquire if you're keen.
