This is quite possibly my favorite shot from Utah. It is a 6 shot panorama taken from Grand View Point in the 'Island in the Sky' district of Canyonlands. I've posted other pictures from this location so I won't bore you with the backstory again but this was the moment when I felt it all come together. As a photographer, you always arrive at a location with an idea in your head of what the photograph you are after will look like. It is an awesome and rewarding feeling when you press the shutter button and just know, that's the one! I worked for two hours to find the right composition and wait for the right light, the whole time feeling my goal getting closer and closer. In essence, this is what I flew across the country for. This is why I was up at 4:00AM in the middle of barren wasteland, miles away from civilized society in 30 degree stormy weather. This will come home with me and go on my wall and I'll never forget the amazing adventure that surrounded this moment.
