For best visual impact go ahead and throw it in the black viewing box. This is a shot of the transition from blue to gold hour as viewed from the Berkeley hills and overlooking the San Francisco Bay. It is actually a re-edit of a shot I posted soon after joining 500px and only a couple weeks after purchasing my first digital camera. At that point my understanding of photography was far less than now, and there are definitely some things I would have done differently given the opportunity to shoot it again, but I still really like this scene. For example, when I first started out I didn't shoot any RAW, so editing capabilities were immediately limited from the get-go. In my humble opinion my editing techniques (and software) have gotten better over the last 10 months and I've always wanted to re-work this image to what my eye saw in that moment. I decided to eschew a backlog of newer images in editing favor of this one.
