Sometimes I'm reminded of just how amazing the city and the people of Nairobi are. This is one of those times.
At the time of posting this image, Nairobi is recovering from a horrible terrorist attack at a popular mall. As always, there were people from a multitude of nationality at the mall when the attack broke, including children who had come for a cooking event. Many were killed, many were hurt, but many more stepped out of the comfort of their homes to help in whatever way they could, whether it be donating blood for the victims or feeding the aid workers. In the face of chaos, the spirit of Nairobi shone through, a sentiment captured in the words of our president when he said "we are bloodied but unbowed"!
