My lack of interest in Alberta's sights was probably rooted in places like Lake Louise. Yes, it's a stunning place to see. I've know people to choose the University of Calgary as their study abroad school solely to come visit Lake Louise and the area. However, to someone who not only has been there several times but sees the same overdone photo of Lake Louise on a regular basis, it starts to get old. That mundane photo starts to overshadow how much more of the lake there is to see. Even just walking a few kilometers down the path alongside gives you an amazing perspective of the surrounding mountains looming over the glacier blue lake.
