Penang Bridge is the longest bridge in Southeast Asia and the third longest in the world. It is 13.5km length and 8.4km is across the sea.It connects Highway Georgetown in Bayan Lepas, Penang to the mainland peninsular in Prai. It was opened on 14 September 1985 for vehicles public.The total length of the Penang bridge is 13.5 km, the it among the world's longest bridge. Before that the main transportation to get to the island is with the ferry,and remained in operation until now.
