In 2011 I travelled through Namibia and in the north we visited a town of the Himba people. They are nomadic people who breed cattle and goats. Women are famous for covering their hair and body with otjize (mixture of fat and ochre) and they wear loincloths made of animal skins and a lot of trinkets. This little girl is standing between other women.
This photo has been published in the catalogue of the international Trierenberg photo contest in 2011 and it won a golden medal in a Benelux photo contest.
