Walking by the park one afternoon, I saw this beggar sitting in a corner with a metal mask covering his eyes. I wonder, perhaps, it's his way of attracting would-be-donors to pop in some loose coins on his chosen corner of this street. Some by-stander told me that he fell into deep depression when he lost all his shares in the stock market prompting his wife to leave him for another man and him ending up begging on the street.
There are few other similar stories of rich-people-becoming-beggars in Hong Kong. Some loose their sanity and some simply jump off the building.
Low self-esteem is one major killer in this very stressful city of 7 million.
Perhaps I go focus on my photography and ending better-off than losing my sanity.
Oh, well. Life goes on...
