Looking to the north from Pali Lookout on Hwy 61. This is the site of one of the bloodiest and last battles of King Kamehameha's fight to unify the Hawaiian Islands. After his fleet landed at Waikiki, he drove the O'ahu defenders up the Nu'uana Valley leaving them no where to go except to try and survive the fall from these cliffs.

It is always incredibly windy up here and since you are at one of the wettest spots on the island, nearly impossible to catch a cloudless day.
