It was my first time in Florence, I heard many people talk about The Ponte Vecchio but after looking for some pictures on Internet I didn’t know what to expect. Well, after a visit I must say that: this medieval stone bridge is really impressive.

It’s wide enough to admit to lines of buildings, one each side. Butchers initially occupied the shops but today jewelers, art dealers, and souvenir sellers occupy the bridge. The bridge was constructed over the Arno River; in it narrowest point on Florence.
