It is interesting to think about these formations and the amount of earthly force that must have struck down to carve such an indention. The southwest is replete with various accounts of flooding and earth changes.I find all of these accounts of the rumblings of a chaotic earth fascinating in the context of our current lives. As exciting as it is to be part of this vast and sweeping internet age, I know that it only occupies a miniscule fraction of the scale of time of life on this planet. It is easy to be lured into the vortex of information and accept this as the totality of existence, but there are places like Bryce Canyon that serve as haunting reminders that 99+% of humans before us have endured, whether gracefully or not, these great earth changes. And it is with this notion that comes the humility to be alive today on this unpredictable planet!
