This was from the first outing with the new camera and what a christening it got!
I had wild camped at the summit of the Old Man Of Coniston with amazing conditions forecast.
That said, we spent most of our time in the clag and in the morning it didn't look hopeful apart from a small gap.
That small gap grew and we were treated to an amazing light spectacle which I feel will produce many images.
Its times like this that camping in freezing conditions makes it worth it. I have a strong feeling had I been down low I may have not even bothered going out. You make your own luck with photography half the time.
This particular shot is looking down from the snow capped summit of the Old Man down to Low Water, over to Levers water taking in most of the Coniston Range (Whetherlam Prominent) with Helvellyn in the far distance.
So, yes very impressed with the camera. The detail is incredible, the tones are very natural and the dynamic range is awesome. I've barely had to touch this image in terms of processing. Feels strange.
