Twilight over a gorgeous beach on the southern Portugese coast. I took 3 images for dynamic range of the beach and sky about 30 minutes after sunset, and 10 images one right after the other about an hour later at f2.8, ISO 6400 and 25" for the milky way, which I aligned in PTGui (with the help of a TON of hand placed points) and averaged in Photoshop. The result is a very clean milky way with very minimal trails, even though I using a crop-sensor canon camera at ISO 6400. I actually had a take the milky way images a few hundred feet away from where I shot the twilight images because the tide was rapidly rising; in fact the beach I crossed to get here got cut off by cliffs on one side and 12 foot waves on the other side! I had to climb (wade?) about 350 vertical feet up the headland through incredibly painful prickly shrubs to get over that spot.
