Oregon's Mount Hood and Mirror Lake, as seen from the summit of Tom, Dick, and Harry Mountain at sunset. Shot this with my good friend Brian Adelberg, check out his profile if you're not following him: http://500px.com/BrianAdelberg
One of the most vibrant sunsets I've seen in my life was going on to the left here - unfortunately the landscape was pretty boring in that direction. A bunch of color still bled into the sky to the north over Hood, though.
Reprocessed this guy recently. This is much closer to the scene we saw that night.
The title of this image referred to a very real situation. My tripod was lost immediately after this shoot - left it on the roof of my car like some kind of IDIOT, and lost it on Highway 26 driving back to Portland. Oh well, it was heavy and steel and now I have a carbon fiber replacement. And I have this image!
