The previous day had brought fresh snow to the Himalayas, which is quite rare at this time of year in dry season. I woke up at 5AM to head out and explore outside my teahouse and try to capture the scene before the inevitable melt. The temperature at the 16,000 feet elevation was a cold -15F, which always makes shooting fun. The snow however adds a beautiful mood to the scenes, and helps dramatically with the foreground elements, which are so hard to find in the Everest region.
