I wanted to reprocess this one for a client a few days ago and realized I had never posted it anywhere online except my website, so here it is. The image depicts one of the world's most beautiful peaks, Fitz Roy, in Argentina. No image could ever come close to doing justice to those massive spires, lording over this beautiful land like nothing I've ever seen on Earth. Therefore, the image was composed with many other subjects in mind, and I was lucky to catch a little fresh snow in the background too. The image is 3 shots taken as quickly together as possible, from 1/60 for the peak/sky, 1/4 for the foliage and 1.5 seconds for the water. I feel that this is as natural a rendition as I could make from this awesome morning of light.
I am also very, very much looking forward to my return here this year in mid-winter!
Lastly, yes, sorry, I did post this very briefly the other day but was unhappy with that rendition and how this website compressed it, and it's still not perfect despite being posted at 900pixels exactly. My apologies if you were one of the few who commented the first round. Last time, I promise! I'll just have to suffer a little over the loss of quality on 500px
