Teide is such a highly photographed subject so my goal was to get a different viewpoint of that stunning peak. Quite a strenuous hike in the night had to be made to reach this spot.
Teide is situated on Tenerife Island, Spain. It rises 3,718m (12,198 ft) and is Spain's highest point. It's the third largest volcano in the world after Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea in Hawaii. The volcano and its surroundings comprise the Teide National Park and was named World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007.
