This is a re-edit of a previous image that needed some fixing up. I'm leaving the old one up for a bit if you would like to compare.

Broken Top Mountain was obviously favored over south sister on this morning as the rising sun illuminated her from behind, and the clouds raced overhead in her direction. A perfect morning here on Sparks Lake shooting with Marc Adamus and Nagesh Mahadev. Nagesh has a magnificent shot from this same spot this morning as well. Check it out!

The lake is a warm lake, and in the mornings the temperature of the water is usually warmer than the air, resulting in this rising of mist off it's waters. The long exposure here softened them and gave them a luminescent glow. I got lucky with this file. I did a long exposure as a second thought. My goal was a regular exposure, and in my haste, I did not set the white balance correctly, and once I saw the result, I didn't want to take the time to try and fix it because the light was passing fast. My raw file for this shot is almost completely cyan colored. Really quite a magic trick I pulled here getting the color back out of it, but I have RAW technology to thank!

Anyway, enjoy the image!
