This shot was taken at the very bottom of Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains. It's a long, steep, walk to this spot, and the heavy backpack and tripod made climbing down Slack's Stairs facing the cliff a little difficult, especially in the sections where the steps are surrounded by a cage. Given the deepness of the base, the pre-dawn winds at the top of the ridge didn't discourage me from making it all the way down. Unfortunately the wind was coming up the valley so even at the base there was spray. I had to wait for some time before the wind died down enough to get this close. After combining this walk with a walk up to Minnamurra Falls the next day, and 6 hours driving, it took me a few days to walk properly again!
