I continue to be seduced by the interplay of light, shadow, shape and color in the sandstone of the American southwest. I walked past this site a few times with other goals in mind, but it kept drawing me back. Even after I gave in to the attraction I struggled with how to capture it. I was convinced I hadn't done it right so I allowed the image to sit untouched for several months. Finally I decided I would try developing it to see if I could bring out what I envisioned. Things fell in to place better than expected. I now feel that the image achieves the rich and enchanting qualities that originally drew me in.
