The wife and I were out shopping for the house the other day, and of the stops I wanted to make was a quick trip to browse the toy aisle at Target. I wanted to get some action figures to help branch out from only photographing Lego people. I managed to snag two Star Wars figures (Boba Fett and a Sandtrooper), a Halo Reach figure, and two Lego Minifigures. It was a good trip :)

I don’t know if this shot comes from my recent desire to watch Grumpy Old Men again, or just the fact that I am looking forward to sitting on my front stoop enjoying a good beer on a summer night. Either way, this is my version of a crotchety old man sitting outside his door yelling at kids to get off his damn lawn!

Special thanks go out to Mike Olbinski for inspiring some new processing techniques on this image. If you have not checked out his HDR screencast, you can do so here. Not only is it a great video on processing landscape HDR images, but Mike does a fantastic job explaining why he uses the techniques he does for his images. Hooray for new tools and work flows!!
