Living on Long Island has its benefits, for instance, when the so-called "Supermoon" of March 19th rose to shine bright, I thought Montauk Point (aka The End) would offer a perfect perspective on the eastern moon rise. The clouds were in the way for the horizon shot, but like anything else you are patient for, a small gift sometimes comes your way. After all the photographers gave up on the bone chilling cold, the moon broke free of the clouds and shined bright over the Atlantic ocean and this historic lighthouse. I couldn't stop hitting the shutter remote, I didn't want to miss even the slightest moment.
