Fog engulfs valleys below my house as the Milky Way emerges above.

Pretty happy with this one apart from the intrusive patches of light pollution. I normally don't "see" these small towns over thirty miles away if the sky is perfectly clear but seeing as there is a layer of cloud above them the light is reflecting off the cloud. Just goes to show how much light energy we waste to the heavens. Green cast above the clouds is airglow caused by natural oxygen in the upper atmosphere and is similar to aurora but much less spectacular of course
