If you look there appears to be a head (or two) of a dragon – hence the name. I like it because this is also the year of the Dragon :)
It is pretty stressful to watch the best light go by while patiently waiting for a 2 minute exposure. However, if done right, the results are worth it. What is also unique is that this particular shape was formed during the exposure. The heads became more prominent and disappeared right after this shot. It was pretty choppy at the Mono lake and I like how the long exposure smoothes out the water movement.
