A moment of calm and silence beyond Turbigo, on the Naviglio Grande, the most important of the channels in Lombardy, whose digging started in 1157.

Having a midweek day of holiday, thanks to the Liberation Day, I rode my racing bycicle along this channel in order to escape from Milan.
With a total amount of 107 km and sunny weather, it was a great rush and a pleasant contradiction with the usual urban, pollutioned environment of Milan; nice to run on this long towpath, among grass and trees, always on the water.

I saw this elegant and tender couple two km beyond Turbigo, while reaching the Parco Lombardo of the Ticino Valley. Shot from a dutiful distance, with all my best wishes for this little family.
