More often than not, I tend desaturate my skies purely because it's almost unrealistically painterly! The sun had gone down and I was waiting for the famed blue hour to set in. The waves were very beautiful and I wanted to show them in motion. There were a lot of photographers there that day as well. It was a sheer visual treat for all of us! :)

I used a 3 stop Grad ND filter to even out the exposure of the water and sky. I also stopped down all the way to f/18 to get maximum depth of field and thereby lower the shutter speed down to 0.4sec which helped produce the movement in the water. Processed with ACR and CS5. Some curves and levels were all that were needed here.
