Early May in the eastern Gorge doesn’t get much better than this past weekend. Sure the winds were ripping through, but the flowers and skies made up for it in spades. The weekend was made all the better for the people I was surrounded with: Jeremy Cram (don’t forget man--- I saved your life!), David Thompson, and Scott Miller, in addition to Ryan Dyar and Alex Noriega who we shot with the night before. As we sat on this ridge shooting the rising sun over the Columbia, we could look down at more than a dozen other photographers busy going after it on the flower-filled bench where many of Rowena’s classic comps are made. So, after the light finally faded, it was very cool to wander down and finally meet Koveh, Jamey, and Jared.
3 shot depth of field blend plus a fourth for the sky.
