We got up before 5am and drove the half hour to the monastery in order to witness this magical ceremony.
One of my previous photos showed the two monks calling others to prayer with ancient horns.
Once inside the monks chant poojas - prayers from various ancient Tibetan texts.
We were the only foreigners there. As the chanting filled the room, at first I was rooted in the corner - not wanting to disturb this wonderful tradition. Then the part of my brain which always wants to take photos began clamouring too loudly. I got up and quietly padded round the room shooting. This was perhaps the best of the resulting shots.
