This is the bourbon beer still at Woodford Reserve Distillery. As the sour mash moves from the fermentation stage to the distilling stage it is heated in this large brass still. The clear, highly concentrated, alcohol is called beer. Woodford Reserve is the oldest distiller in the United States and this distillation building is listed on the National Historic Register of significant buildings.
