Around Northern California the month of March seems to be a very active month for Great Egret migration. They seemed to show up all of a sudden one day, and they left just as quickly. During the two-week period when they were around, I saw dozens of these every day, foraging or flying around. I spotted this one on my way home one late afternoon. My plan had been to stop for a few minutes to get a shot or two; instead I stayed an hour and got 200 shots. This one's one of my favorites of the bunch.
