Mazen El-Bagir, Sudanese player and composer of music,he loved eastern music since childhood, especially the lute. He studied music in World Music Institute in Abu Dhabi.
The visit of the musician Naseer shamma to Sudan (several years ago) strongly influenced his musical life, after which he went to study in Arab Lute House in Abu Dhabi, and got the systematic study on the hands of professors who are specialists in the lute.
Now Mazen is considered to be one of the brightest lute players in Sudan.
After many years experience in oriental music,he created a musical band named ( Ishraq), which is the first Sudanese band specialized in eastern music in Sudan.
He also presented several musical performances and participated in many local and international festivals.
He got number of discretionary and honorary awards, and emerged in several aspects, such as composing and music copyright.
He has many musical compositions of his own, and beside his special ability as lute ( solist), he also carries out lute teaching lessons for students and lute lovers in Sudan.
Mazen dreams to establish Arab Lute House in Sudan to be the nucleus of all the beginners and lovers and to teach them in a correct systemized way. this is in addition to his prominent role in introducing eastern music inSudan in a scientific and specialized manner.
