Iceland is simply an amazing photography destination! I have just returned from a PODAS (Phase One Digital Artist Series) spearheaded by Kevin Raber - and it was a knockout trip. We had a great group of participants, from Australia to Russia, Germany to America. We had an excellent guide, local photographer Daniel Bergmann. And co-presenter Steve Gosling was sensational in the way he produces amazing compositions that I simply didn't see until he showed me. Gee, I hate that!!!

Over the next few months I will be posting quite a few photos from Iceland. The images are so special I don't want to rush them. And, there is something about Iceland and the fact it has been photographed by so many people before that requires a slightly more considered approach.

The first photograph I have produced is of Gullfoss. It's a time exposure in the middle of the day, creating a 'silky' water effect, except the water is so jumbled at the point it hits the falls, that there's still lots of form and shape. Bringing this form and shape to life is the challenge.
