Flakstad, Lofoten, Norway

Golden light pierced low clouds and turned black rocks gold in the late evening light as the setting sun began to dip around 10.30pm. When light of this quality strikes pre-planned shots are exhausted quickly and film was fairly racing through the take up spool of my old Pentax. I noticed the gold etched lines on the beach and managed to circumvent an awkward composition to come up with a final few images that I found truly pleasing as the sun flickered and died.

Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, 0.45ND grad, f/16 at 2 Seconds, Velvia.
