The Domino Sugars factory, specifically its neon sign, is an iconic image among Baltimore natives that strikes a strong sense of 'home" in our hearts and minds. The red neon sign that sits atop the sugar refinery is, quite literally, the size of a basketball court and costs (roughly) $100,00/year to power and maintain. In a town like Baltimore, a place where industry was our main source of business and economic stability all those decades ago, the Domino Sugars sign serves as a reminder that someone, somewhere is still making things in a factory; their industry has survived.

Taken using Sony NEX-3 with 50mm f/1.8 lens. Bracketed exposures, 5 in all, from -2 to +2. Merged in Nik HDR Efex Pro, converted to black and white in Lightroom and exported to Camera Bag 2 for final "vintage" treatment.
