I have begun experimenting more with out of focus figures in my images, namely they are me, owing to the grace of the self-timer on the Hasselblad. To be more precise, I am specifically working with a Proxar filter, not just for the close focusing it allows, but also for the much more out of focus background it creates. These images then become as much about what is out of focus, even sometimes more so, than what is left in focus. I am also working on a series of them to pair with a fairy tale, so I am trying more to develop a bit of a narrative feel to them. So far, so fun.
