This is a pinhole image from the very first day I ever got to photograph the bridge in the snow. I had waited years as a photographer due to the combination of weather (lack of snow) and the bridge being under construction, but finally I got my chance. It only took about four years. But in the five or six since, I have had ample opportunity, thankfully.

I know there are a number of bridges that are worth arguing over, but I will still contend that this is one of the most beautiful in all the world. I read a quote by David Steinman today where he talked about how the gothic arch was born in stone, but he felt it was always meant to be realized in steel and to the end of his life, he thought this was the most beautiful bridge that he had worked on personally.
