Well, let's see after about 7 trips to do a sunrise, i finally found some clouds. However, there's a twist here...As i setup to capture the sunrise towards the east, i found some clouds out on the horizon, but not much color, or appeal.. After waiting., and continuing to adjust metering etc, i just happen to look up from the viewfinder. Guess what folks, the color and clouds were 90 degrees to me... Holy Crap, as my heart rate picked up, i quickly loosened the ballhead, swiveled right 90 degrees, and fired my canon... it wasn't but maybe a minute and the light changed, and the clouds lost their appeal. Another lesson learned for me.. get your head out of the camera, and constantly be alert, and surveying the entire scene, actually makes for a better outing, as you see the entire splendid morning as it comes alive! click on image for a dark bkg!
