Becoming a photographer wasn't something that was a lifelong dream for me. I just kind of fell into it. I guess that's what life is like there are things you choose and there are those things that choose you. This was certainly one of them. I started out photographing available dogs at my local animal shelter. It was there that I developed technique and an eye for composition. Dogs are not the easiest to photograph sometimes but can be really fun. The better my photos got the more confident I became and thust I upgraded to better cameras. Here I am now about 4 years later with my first DSLR and feel like I am even closer to being where I want to go.

I try to learn as much as I can about photography. I have committed myself to master the technical part and of course there is still so much that I have to learn. As far as composition that is an area where I still need to grow because sometimes I find myself not "seeing" enough photographic potential as I normally should. That is where I turn to books for tips on how to see more creatively.
