With so many great contributions from all over the world on every possible subject, I think we can learn two important things: First, our world is a phantastic place to be living in and second: In photography, technique is not "everything", there are many pictures that are technically perfect but miss that special touch, that little something that makes the image "fly".
On the other hand, many a picture that was made with little to no 'technique' still is great, because the photographer had a great idea or simply was lucky (not with the settings of the camera) but with the subject being just special in that very fraction of a second.
I think we should not underestimate luck and overestimate our technical skills, because without that grain of magic the technically perfect picture is still just another recording of something we already know.
