Meditations

Published August 15th, 2011

I am now waiting for this storm to cover me

Night falls and skies turn gray

This ledge

That brought colors of distant faint memories

The air is still, stiff and blue, scattered among white and black

There's slight static accompanying the breeze tonight

A preview of what is to come

A jolt to the senses traveling up my fingertips

To borrowed words stuck in my throat

And somewhere in the back of my thought, laughter fades

So here I stand awaiting to be carried away

Or to be smitten

Maybe when this all passes over, I can feel like myself

Once again
