Starting twenty years ago with a simple analog camera , I soon realized that human beeings are my subject. Being able to capture the beauty, the naturalness and simplicity in a portrait or a figure study always inspired me.

I work very sponteaneously because I want to be present for the moment, the ideas or the circumstances that arise during a shooting. And of course being open for the models is very important, they are always a big inspiration to me and having a good relation with my models is one of the key points. Talking and and having tea or coffee helps a lot :-)

There are lots of important ingredients for a „good“ picture, starting by the light, which in my case is mostly natural. I think only then you are able to see what you get and you can transfer the mood of a situation as it is.

As for my pictures, I want people to look at them - hold on for a second and forget everything else - just see and hopefully enjoy for a moment.

I want to transfer these quiet and unhurried moments. I think every piece of art is a reflection of the artists thinking and working.

As known, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and my subject doesn’t necessarily has to be a beautiful face or body, there is beauty in a moment, in a mood or a bodypart. If you look carefully and are open for the beauty, you can see it everywhere.
