My best spots in Paris to shoot photos

Published April 4th, 2012

I have been shooting landscape photography for years and here is some of my favorite spots in Paris. See my gallery for all the photos.
I geotagged all the photos so you can see precisely where I took each shoots.

I also do a lof of tutorials if you like the style, you can get free ones on my you tube channel :

The tower and the status

By claiming up some of the status nearby the Trocadero Plaza, you get this composition. Nothing original as I have often seen it, but I never had done it myself.

The Senat in Paris

The garden of Luxembourg in Paris is an amazing garden right in the middle of the city. In that garden is the Senat, I had a beautiful sunset that evening.

View of Paris by night

If you go to the terass of the "institut du monde Arabe", this is the view you get over Notre Dame.

Panoramic of the Louvre evening

This is an 8 photo panorama taken as sun is coming down onto the Plaza in the Louvre. The trick with the Louvre is to go behind the pyramid, sometime in front there lots of tourist but nobody behind and you get this view !

The Pont Neuf bridge Paris

This is the Pont Neuf Bridge in Paris with a nice sky. My favorite bridge in Paris, it's got a very old feeling to it and the house at the end are beautiful and very authentic parisian building from the 1900's.

The Seine in Paris by night

As I was driving by the seine, there was this short but amazing light, I stopped by park my scooter and took this photo in bracketing, I then mixed up the various exposure in Photoshop.

Pont de la Tournelle at night

This is one of the bridge very close to Notre Dame, what you see in the back is the Ile Saint Louis, the little island in the middle of Paris.

The eiffel tower

I went under the Eiffel tower and we had a very nice sky, with a wide angle lens, I got this shot. Loved the sky that end of afternoon

The stairs of Montmarte Paris II

This stairs are pretty hard to find, look on the google map on these photos to see where they are, but they are worth going to as the sun set right over there.

The roof of Paris at night

This is the view you can from being at the top the Tour Montparnasse, it cost 12 euros to go up, but worth every penny, take a tripod (one of the only spot where it is allowed) and go there right after sunset !

All very beautiful shots. Loved Paris when I was there two years ago. Only got to spend three days there. Not nearly enough time! I must look at your tutorials and other shots. Thanks for sharing this small section of my favorite city.

I wish I had your advice one year ago.....we were in Paris for our 10th anniversary right about a year ago. But I keep going back, it is my favorite! So I will look for these glorious spots when I am back there. Thank you for sharing:)
