Rene Wirtz

Rene Wirtz is an amateur photographer who, for his job as a real estate software consultant, ever since moving stateside travels to different locations in the United States and, on occasion, Canada. (He used to travel all over Europe when he lived and worked in Rotterdam, The Netherlands ... hence the reason there are pictures of a lot of European cities in his portfolio.) His travel gives him the chance to bring along his camera and venture out to, mostly, urban areas. This coincides with his preferences and interests, because they are with (modern) architecture, cityscapes and urban (re-)development.

From June 1 to June 23, my wife, my daughter, my son and me undertook a 23 day road trip. We scheduled this trip predominantly with the aim to be in Phoenix, Arizona on June 8 so that my wife could walk the stage in the annual commencement ceremony of the University Of Phoenix. She had to pick up her Doctor (in Management) title, on her birthday no less. This is the photo story of this trip, dubbed #WeirdRoadTrip2013.

To be continued after 500px rolls out their new Stories feature so I can include more than 10 photos from my gallery.
