The Tourist (Thailand Part III)

Published April 11th, 2012

Popular tourist scenes from Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Due to the 10-photo limit, this set isn't exhaustive. I picked my favorite shots.

Canon 60D + Canon 50mm f/1.4 prime.

Canon S95 PowerShot.

Edits: Tight crop on most images to remove extraneous details. I kept the edits minimal for this set.

Stories from Bangkok (the non-touristy stuff) is next. :-)

Suvarnabhumi Airport

Suvarnabhumi Airport (meaning 'Golden Land' in Sanskrit) is also known as (New) Bangkok International Airport.

Wat Chai Wattanaram

Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a Buddhist temple in the city of Ayutthaya, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River.
The funky angle was used to include as many statues as possible within the frame. ;-)

Ayutthaya Ruins

Ayutthaya city is the capital of Ayutthaya province in Thailand. The city was founded in 1350. In 1767, the city was destroyed by the Burmese army, resulting in the collapse of the kingdom.

Buddhist Temple

Love the colors.

Chiang Mai

If you wait long enough, all the colors will fall into place.

China Town

There's a small China Town in every big city. The colorful cars lined up perfectly for me.

The ubiquitous tuk-tuk.
