My flower shows - looking for beauty and I want to be there in PRINT

Published August 1st, 2012

Every year there is the Singapore Flower and Garden show held in a convention Hall in Singapore. People come from all over the world. Nearly 100's of flower merchants and organisations exhibit their prized possessions. There are landscaped gardens, contests, lucky draws and what have you. It lasts 4 days and it is a pleasure to see many interesting flowers and the show that people put on. I go there and shoot some orchids and other interesting flowers and also look at some new orchid hybrids and growing techniques. But this story photo is not about all that - it is about the way people prune themselves and their loved ones and try to capture the beauty and record them in their cameras or create some physical or digital memory. Beauty elicitis recording and keeping. We don't want to lose it. We stare or we shoot or do both and finally we snap

Beyond White

yes beyond white it is red...in this display the artist had created a huge white space and decorated them with wood and vines and of course white flowers. it was a popular for people to stand in front and ask someone to take a picture

Prize Winner

these orchids were grown and they got a prize for a certain category. BTW they are tiny. The photo makes them look a tad larger than 1:1

A popular one with the lovers. Certainly, the color, the heat and the context made them think of their paraamour

Yes one day I will open...

And when I do you wont recognize me
