My name is Salim and I'm a (semi) pro photographer (semi because I have full time job as an IT Manager, pro because people are actually paying me for photographs and do buy my prints). Most of my (published) work is Land- Cityscape, Street and Travel. But I do love to take photographs of people - in the studio or on location. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you're visiting Frankfurt or just wanna chit chat. Visit my new Facebook page! Salim

Photo Workshop

Published October 29th, 2012

A friend of mine had a blasting present for my birthday - a photo workshop. So I went there with him last Saturday. Well the workshop itself turned out to be a bit boring, as there were nearly 40 people and most of them were absolute beginners. As the guy started to (and that was really all he did) telling us what the different letters (modes) on the camera mean... I begun strolling around, as it took place in the MyZeil shopping mall in Frankfurt, I got these pictures out of it.

One more about the people who came to do the course, I saw a lot of very expensive cameras (5D MKII, 3Ds, 1Ds,...) and really when he asked "Who is still using auto mode to shoot pictures" EVERYONE but 3 ppl (inlcuding me) said no... This guys earned more than 1000 € that day for telling them what the different modes are?!? I should start doing my own workshops..
