Saundra Roberts

Specialties: Travel, B&W, and Film Photography.

Saundra Roberts was born and raised in the small rural town of Hay Springs in Western Nebraska. She moved to Denver, Colorado when she was 18 and fell in love with the Rocky Mountains. After several relocations up and down the Front Range she settled in Eastern Colorado, and still resides on the prairie in Cheyenne Wells. “I’m a country girl at heart” she is often heard commenting.

Saundra raised 3 intelligent, beautiful children, two boys and a girl, all grown now and she has been blessed with 2 grandchildren that have stolen her heart.

Saundra, a self-taught photographer, started photographing her children in the early ‘80’s. She soon realized her passion was photography and she eventually opened up a studio, specializing in weddings and portraits.

Saundra also taught photography classes at the Cheyenne County High School, the Cheyenne County 4-H program, along with teaching photography for the Adult Continuing Education Program for the nearby college for several years. She judged numerous photography exhibits for years in Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas.

Saundra started to travel to Europe, mainly vacationing in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France and Holland. She is most at home in Italy where she has delightful friends she loves to spend time with. During the past 10 years of her travels she has taken thousands of photos of the beautiful vistas, mountains, oceans, lakes and the people who inhabit these awe inspiring countries.

At this time, Saundra has gone into partnership with her son Jason and daughter-in-law Laura, starting the company Angle of View Photography. She custom mats and frames the photos taken by all three photographers. Saundra has been a professional photographer for over 30 years and continues to photograph her travels and everyday life.

“I try to look through the lens with the eyes of a child, seeing things for the first time. I take pictures of anything and everything that interests me and I see pictures everywhere. Sometimes my photography works out and I have captured the image the way I see things and sometimes not. The beauty is there is always another shot to take.” -Saundra Roberts

“Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, just take another shot.” -Unknown
