The other day, the family and I went to a local country store to pick up a few pumpkins for the scariest day of the year. As we drove around the gravel driveway toward the store, this large red tractor was sitting right out front with a cart filled with pumpkins. The tractor, though, looked vaguely familiar (obviously, it's a tractor) but more so because we had been given a toy from Grandpa that looked very similar. It turns out that it was an exact duplicate...a Farmall tractor.
I couldn't miss the opportunity to snap a few shots. After we got back home, I grabbed the little toy tractor, rushed back to the country store, and got right to shooting. I knew I wanted to take a "when I grow up" type of photo...how could I not! Bringing toys to life is always a fun thing to do.
In the end, I think it turned at well and I'm happy with the result. In hindsight, I wish I had turned the toy tractor around facing toward the bigger one...like a little boy looking up at his father. In fact, I did have a couple shots with the toy tractor leaning against the front wheels looking up, but I ultimately settled on this one.
