Inspiration - Barry Greenland

Published August 1st, 2011

If you're not following him, then shame on you!!!

Barry is by far one of the most extraordinary photographers I ever met. Correction, most extraordinary artist. Photography is just one of his many talents. I first saw his work when I signed up Deviant Art, about 5 or 6 years ago. (Sjoe, has it been that long?) And I've been following him ever since. (his blog, his art accounts, his google+, his FB, some might call it stalking.. lmao)

True story: I'm no expert when it comes to photo-manipulation, but I like to think I'm a trick or two ahead of your average photoshopping person. And most of those tricks of the trade I picked up/stumbled upon/researched/figured out by asking myself a very simple question: How did Barry do it?

So go on, go take a look at his images. It will enrich your life too

Much love, Bazz.

Hello World

Published July 30th, 2011

I'm new here. It's always refreshing to stumble upon a good creative community.

Being my intro post, lets start with the basics:

I write, mainly. Blogging, ghostblogging, guest articles, paid-for articles, reviews, you name it. Even fiction and poetry. Writing poetry saved my life. I'm studying Journalism (go figure.)

I have way too many blogs, sites and social media profiles than I care to mention.

I have a corporate day job as a PA and assistant to a very busy Transport Manager, but let's not get into that either.

My passion is art. In all its forms. I paint, I write, I create jewelry, I take photos, I manipulate photos. My art consist mainly of dark and depressing themes. It's my therapy. I believe there's something extraordinarily special about taking a negative emotion and creating something beautiful with it.
